We keep intending to rent that to watch with our kids (6 teens, a 21, and an 11). It has yet to happen. If it slows down at the end, maybe we’ll watch it in two parts, over a couple of days, with conversation in between.

I think Al Gore totally deserves the Nobel Peace Prize. The whole time we watched the movie, I kept yelling “He was SUPPOSED to be the president! How different life would be here!”
Another movie that’s in the same vein is “Who Killed The Electric Car”. Surprisingly, another one is Happy Feet, and Maya should enjoy that, too. Not sure when it’s out on DVD, though.

I managed to get out the door to get the *(&^% security device off the DVD case after dinner but before Maya’s bath/bedtime. The first part of it, I found engaging and infuriating.

How in the world can people ignore this? It seems so obvious!

The end of the movie…I had to keep shaking myself to stay awake, but that’s probably more about how I get in front of the TV if I’m not doing anything rather than commentary on the movie. If I’d been thinking, hello…laundry calls.

The Gottman book is related to the lab in Seattle — instead of just looking at predictors, they look at what some of the behaviors and attitudes are that help create a stronger bond. Speaking of, I probably need to do an F&A exercise today, since I’m…um…cranky. Yes, cranky, that’s the word.

I’m here– so much to catch up on! I had Incon. Truth from Netflix for.ever. I know I’d dig it but could never muster up the energy to watch it when I did have free time. Someday! I’m intrigued to read more about this F&A thing…and I’ve heard good things about Gottman’s marriage book– I wonder if it’s related to the Gottman program they have out of Seattle- dealing w/relationships & its impact on having a child together. HMM.
