On the bright side, we have a kick-ass baby gate installed in our hallway now, keeping the bedrooms and bathrooms safe from the man-baby who now opens doors.

Gawd. I said “kick-ass baby gate.” Did I REALLY say that?

That’s what I’m finding also. The difference for me yesterday was that I wanted to get work done. Maya was off with a friend, so M only had to watch Gavin. And what happened? Mike seemed to think that doing a household project was compatible with watching a baby/toddler.

Suffice it to say, I’m still not done. I have three more (partial) days before we leave for Arizona. After that, I am NOT doing more schoolwork. Guess I have to crank TODAY instead. SIGH.

The only thing that I have found that works is if Jon actually takes the kids out somewhere (or I go somewhere else) to have alone relaxing time. Let me know if you come up with anything else!
